Born in Cape Town, South Africa and qualified as an architect with experience in South Africa, UK (London) and Australia. Douglas’ international architectural background inform his understanding of the urban landscape at a multitude of scales and influence his exploration and the approach to his work.
No longer focused on commissioned work Douglas' artistic practice is exploring both photographic + ai based art that reflect his experiences in both architecture and architectural photography and drive strong environmental narratives into the work.
Currently working towards a new photography book for the retrospective BAD LAND series and exploring potential gallery representation as well as a fine art print to order mechanism.
